| takeoff | This site is insured by USHPA. The Hawaii Paragliding Association maintains a permit from the State of Hawaii for members of the association. Before flying here pilots must be current members of USHPA and the local club. There is no cost for visitors to join the local club. There are multiple spots to launch from along two ridges, from 250 to 350 feet ASL. Hiking up from the landing zone to any launch takes about 15 minutes. |

| landing | The landing zone is in the open area between the trees at the center of the beach. Paragliders must yield to other beach users. |
| weather | Winds are best from NE to ENE. If the winds are too east the landing zone doesn't get clean air and pilots may find themselves landing in sink or rotor. Also, rain squalls periodically blow in from the ocean, bringing gust fronts and rain and sometimes changing the direction of airflow in a dramatic fashion. |
| rules | Pilots must be members of USHPA and the Hawaii Paragliding Association. There is no cost to join the local club. |
| access | Located on the windward coast about an hour's drive from Honolulu (or 1.5 hours by bus). |
